Which authority to contact when you've got Corona

Please excuse the dumb question but I can't find the answer anywhere on the BAG website.

With regard the authorities, who do I contact when I test positive for coronavirus?

I thought there might be links to an online form to fill in, but there doesn't seem to be even 'Contact your local gemeinde' instructions.

Great website though, the Swiss Govt one. All in English too. Very much appreciated.

How do you know you're positive?

If you took an antigen test at your local pharmacy or a PCR test at cantonal hospital, you had to fill out a form where you write your phone. If the result is positive, you get an SMS with isolation instructions and a web link to enter your data for statistical purposes and indicate the people you had contact with and most importantly if you were in contact with coworkers.

Some days later after you filled out the online form indicating your email, you get 2 PDF docs: 1) one stating your isolation period and 2) a justification you send to work for the days you stayed in isolation.

Thank you very much for the reply. It was a self-test in my house! I've been isolating since yesterday.

With a positive at home test there are no forms to fill out, just isolation for 5 days*.

*You have to be symptom free for at least 48 h before beeing able to end your quarantine.

Stay hydrated, eat & rest. Minor symptomps can be treated with otc such as paracetamol, honey for soar throat etc.

Contact your GP if you feel bad (non life threatening), go to the closest emergency

or call an ambulance (112 or 144) in case of severe symptoms.

To add to this, if you wish to get a recovered Covid certificate you will need to take a PCR test. Otherwise stay at home and get well soon!

Thanks very much for all the info and cheer. By the way Sigh, can I ask where you know that info from, about not contacting authorities? I'm just being extra cautious coz I dont want to upset the authorities.

if you do go to take a PCR and it comes back positive you can request a recovery certificate here

If you wish to travel in the near fitire, you may wish to get a recovered certificate as your PCR could be positive for quite a while, which would make entry to many countries impossible.

I think you no longer have to have a PCR. If you get a positive antigen test, that will suffice for the recovered certificate

"I’ve recovered from COVID-19. How can I get a COVID certificate and how long is it valid?

You can get a COVID certificate in the following cases:

The COVID infection was confirmed with a positive PCR test and was no more than 365 days ago.

You can present a positive antibody test.

You cannot get a COVID certificate to certify recovery from COVID based on a positive rapid antigen test."
