Mostly I would want to secure an inital B permit quickly and then find a better job after. I don't want an L permit.

For EU most of the time an unlimited contract will get you a B permit.

Normally any job such as Coop would offer a permanent contract (unless they are just looking for Christmas staff). Seasonal/tempoarary contracts are generally only in the tourist industry I find.
Question is why do you want a B instead of an L? For an EU national it doesn’t really make a lot of difference. If you need a job quickly - I’m assuming possible separation/divorce if you have a CdL already - then a temp job giving you an L might be quicker to get and you can still look for a more permanent position while working at the temp job.
Divorce? Not in the least. The benefits of a B over an L are well documented on this sub. Most any service that requires a contract requires a longer-term permit.
Also L does not count towards citizenship years!
Are you sure about this? Never ever heard about this, citizenship here is universally 10 years, C permit, Fide usually B1/A2 (this is per canton), clean registries, paying AFAIK 4k for application and up to 2 years wait for exams.
I can confirm my initial L permit was definitely counted to get my C permit.
They changed the rules. L no longer counts towards citizenship.
No longer as bowlie said. It changed a few years ago. It’s even stated in SEM’s citizenship FAQ.
“Are years spent with a short-term permit (L permit) counted?
Years with an L permit are not counted.”
