Which employment benefits/perks can you ask for?

In IT, common "extras" I've had myself and/or experienced:

Monthly payment towards your (mobile) phone bill. I've seen all from 40 to 200 CHF here. "Home office" can also be partially supported by this, but mostly it's for data plan "on the road" and calls.

Alternatively, company phone (which I hate.. having to keep two phones charged etc. etc.) provided.

Meal allowance when doing work at clients sides. Usually 25-30 CHF for lunch, about double for dinner. Depends heavily on the company/clients you're working for, but it's very standard to have such "out of house" expenses covered, unless you're working in a very senior position. Usually you'll have to hand in receipts to get the money back. Alternatively "lunch checks".

Car or public transport, either subsidized or free. Alternatively paid monthly / per km travelled expenses paid. Can be really good (like paid GA, even 1. class), or acceptable. Depends heavily, again, if mostly out for visiting clients, or mostly in house work. Some stuff like "REKA checks" in a few cases.

Since you mention a notebook, yes, all IT companies I know provided some kind of IT equipment for their employees too

Some companies have deals with local gyms, restaurants, shops etc etc but from my experience, those deals aren't really always great. I've rarely used this kind of offers.

That’s Federal tax. Whether any cantons have followed suit I don’t know. Friboug hasn’t.

There are also reasons why you can claim it like no suitable public transport, infirmity, unfavourable hours, journey time saves more than 1.5 hours over public transport. If you can’t prove any of the above then you can’t claim the mileage. May also depend on whether it’s a company car or your own.
