I work in Winterthur so I'm sometimes up for lunch or drinks. There is an international club in Winterthur ( http://www.internationalclub.ch/ ) and an expats-meetup ( http://expat.meetup.com/125/?gj=sj5 ), even if they do RSVP, attendance is really patchy and I have been stood up on several occasions, I like to believe that it gets better in winter (it is Winterthur after all ... God was that bad ...)

Is that a yes then for tomorrow night ? yeah nice joke he he. I looked at the international club in Winterthur but it seemed a bit only moms with babys at lunch time need apply sorta club. I have not seen the other one yet, so I'll browse that one for a bit.

ok, A few people carn't make it for tomorrow night so I'm going to post in another section ( Social Section ) and try get some more response for next week. I hope more of you can make it for then. Meeting place is in the Irish Bar in Winterthur if no one has no objections.

The next "Meetup" event for Expats in Winterthur is 25 July at 8pm (after the other half gets home from work and can take over the kids). As HTD mentioned, sometimes people say they are coming and they don't .... so we would really appreciate a good turn out for the next meetup.

We currently say we're meeting at TomTom's Sushi/ Bar in Metzggasse (at least til we find one another ...we'^re at the table at the back) but if you have a better idea, let us know.

It is purely social. We generally get 6 - 8 attendees (except twice when HTD came the others didn't show!!!). I will definitely be there.... round some friends up and come along.
