Work permit non-eu tied location?

Hello,

To understand something - on the plastic card there is any information saying that your permit is restricted to one location?

Does anybody knows if there is any suggestive law showing that non-eu b permit can work anywhere in switzerland, but hold to employer?

Far as I know - our permit is issued from the Kanton we are going to live. After this document is issued, can I work anywhere in Switzerland?

This is a though question because I will need to work in many locations.

If you are working for your employer you will be able to work anywhere in Switzerland they send you.

With a Non-EU B permit, you will be registered to live in the Canton where you work. Your employer will apply for your permit in the Canton where you are intended to work.

Your permit may be 'tied' to your employer, or not.

Generally, Non-EU are 'tied' and 'need permission' to move to another Canton. That is because you pay taxes where you live and the Canton also wants you to work there too...

If it is a single employer, then even if they 'send' you to work in other places, you will have one place where you are registered.

Do you mean that you may need to travel temporarily for work - or if you will get sent to live and work somewhere else ?

The key here is where your 'home' is - where will you live ?

My work permit is hosted by Basel. This is where I mainly work

But sometimes I need to go out for work like in Kaiseragust, Zürich, Bern.... Like my job requirements says.

I want just to know if it is illegal for me to work in another kanton too?

Are you being paid by another company in another canton?

Where you physically work doesn't matter.

Tom

Yes, as long as you work for your employer you can work anywhere in the country.

Or even outside the country.

Tom

True, in my career I spent many months abroad while holding a tied B permit.
