I went there and found that I made a mistake. The appointment is in April instead of March.
Any idea why so long delay? I checked on Google beforehand and thought it would be within days.
I registered last thursday and thought the biometrics screening appointment would be today.

I heard there was some kind of disease going around recently which might have caused some delays/logistical issues.
Although covid could be to blame for the delay to date, additionally the S permit for refugees requires appointments as well.
With the influx of refugees I can see the biometric things taking a little longer.

For my wife they almost made one month in between first registration ... so , patience
Also, just as a small tip , you can go later / earlier in the day you are scheduled, nobody minds ( for me , the bureau was almost empty when I arrived )
Hi, I'm just wondering if you can postpone your biometrics appointment more than once? Anyone tried it? (It falls right on my last day of work and I'm not sure I'll be able to leave early. Plus then I'm leaving for three weeks.)
Of course you can just call them.
As for delaying appointments, isn‘t there contact info on your appointment letter? I‘d call them or visit the web site, using your token as id. They are flexible.
As a side note, we waited about a month for our biometrics appointment - our C permit renewal. We received our C permits two days after as registered mail.
The delays have been due to the excessive demand for passports for people to travel abroad whose passports expired during COVID or new passports for children who didn't have, or need one during COVID.
Now I've done it. I used my token but now my biometrics appointment is a week after my Ausweis validity. How big of a problem is that? Any chance that my employer will have some problems because of this? (I sent all other documents that they needed.) I'll call them on Monday but man ... I can't believe I'm that stupid.
They are normally OK about that sort of thing - as long as you are in the system.
So if you are logged as waiting for an appointment, you should be OK.
