That's a great forum (I have only just registered, so am still pretty excited ).
I am a 33 year old mother of 2 young boys (2 years and 7 months) and am currently living in London with my English partner (I am Swiss). We are thinking of relocating to Switzerland and that's why I came across this webpage. I would very much like to get in contact with English speaking people once we are in Zurich so that my boys (and I) can keep on communicating in their "first" languange.

Yes another mum wanting to join in the fun! I will be moving to Baden in July with my husband and young daughter- who will be 17 months when we arrive. I understand that it's not far from Baden to Zurich and quite easy to get there so I would really love to meet you all and I know Bertille would love to have some friends to play with
And here comes another mum... I am 33 years old and have got two boys (2 years and 9 months old). We have been living in England for the past 4.5 years and are now moving back to Zurich for good (I am Swiss but the boys dad is English). We will be moving over in August and to be honest I am actually a bit nervous, even though I already know the area etc.., but I will be missing our English friends and I am sorry for our older boy Kieran to be moving away from his friends who he's really close to. Therefore I thought I have to make a real effort to find them new (English speaking) friends fast so that the "homesickness" won't be too bad. We will be moving to Hoengg and from the middle of September I will be working (part-time) in Oerlikon (where they will also go to nursery). Is there anyone (if you live close by that would obviously be a plus, but I can also travel around to meet mums and tots...) who'd be interested in meeting up? Alternatively, I can come to Starbucks coffee mornings or Playgroups for a "chat and a play"... Karin, Kieran and Quinn

I am a 34 year old nanny not a mum but am working in Oberrieden near Thalwill and am looking to either meet up with people or go along to a playgroup with the 13month old i look after.The lido we go to is great but when the weather isnt so good i get cabin fever!Have been in Zurich for a month and need people other than my boyfriend and 13 month old to gossip with!!

I have just moved to the area of Kuesnacht with my family from Australia. I am a young mum with a 6th month old and would like to meet up with other mums for a coffee and a chat. Let me know if you are interested.
We are trying to arrange a little get together every Monday in the center of Baden at Karussell, (Kirchplatz 3: http://www.karussell-baden.ch ), so we can make new friends, have a good chat and let our children play in an English speaking (and warm) environment! The first 'coffee afternoon' will be at 3pm on 5th November. I hope some of you can make it, please let us know if you are interested!! We can change the day if it is more suitable! Just posting to say that many of the contact people listed above for the playgroups have since changed. I can help out with the two Canterbury groups (in St.Andrews Church Hall) or I guess the Yahoo groups have more up-to-date listings for all the playgroups.
