ZKB Bank eBanking PhotoTan security

And all this costs the bank milliarden. One reason why one has to now pay them interest when one has money in the bank.

Agreed. Highly unreliable dial-up connections 20 years ago left me with a long lasting fear that I would get cut off mid-transaction. I've only got over that relatively recently.

I double check and treble check if necessary.

I completely detest sites which disable paste and force me to enter reference numbers, credit card details or telephone numbers by hand, and will refuse to use such sites where possible.

A car, since ATM's will become a rarity in future, they are very expensive and the amount of very violent attacks on them is growing.

Didn't know about this.

I hate those "point your smartphone at your screen" apps.

My Sparkasse in Germany uses flicker-codes, which is even worse.

Also, it probably barely runs on my 4S.

I hope I can at least continue to use the mobile app (which is actually pretty good).

Which would mean the majority of the users of e banking

Well I have just activated my PhotoTan on ZKB e banking. Really impressed. Alot of fun. So whats next? Iris recognition?

So, is it what I think?

Do you have to point the phone at the screen somehow?

How accurate do you have to point?

I'll find out soon enough, probably, but I don't want to miss a chance to complain to them.

Yes one points at the screen. Scanning is very quick and one does not have to be so accurate : One can almost " brush" over it with the handy.

UBS has basically the same system.

It's much easier than entering some code off the screen into a security device, then copying the response back into the web page.

As far as two-factor authentication goes, this is the easiest I've seen.

my mother is using a similar system for e-banking.

a couple of days ago, she complained that it wasn't working even though she followed all instructions.

i sent her the link to the bank's youtube instruction video.

one day later she told me that she held the scanner backwards

i think banks should provide mental support for family members of elder people for ebanking.

Well I just activated two phones for the account. The HTC One and an older LG.

The HTC One was very easy. Very fast and scanned great. But the LG was difficult-very particular with scanning and very slow with getting the Tan number. Eventually it worked OK.

But I can imagine that ZKB will be getting alot of complaints from people with older less capable phones. Phew!!

Just dont move the PhotoTan App to a memory card in your phone ( to save space in internal memory.) It messes up everything

Neither of those sentences is factually correct.
