Zwischenverdienst (RAV)

Can somebody explain what the concept of "Zwischenverdienst" means in RAV context?

If I find a 100% time Zwischenverdienst that pays a lot less than what I get through RAV, what happens to the compensation? Does RAV continue to pay the difference or is the difference lost?

What happens after I finish the 4-month Zwischenverdienst contract? Can I go back on RAV?

Perhaps someone knows of a good website explaining all this.

Thank you!!

Zwischenverdienst (interim work) and related compensation payments are discussed in para. C123 to C139 at this link (German):

Thank you!

Hi all,

I would have a question in regards to RAV - zwischenverdienst (interim earnings) and I would appreciate any input.

Currently I'm on RAV and I'm receiving 70% of insured salary. However, there is an employment opportunity on sight and potential employer is pretty flexible about what kind of employment contract to make - that being part-time or full-time or limited or unlimited. In any case, with the new employment opportunity I would earn less than it is the insured salary.

My question would be what kind of contract to make that I would be entitled to interim earnings?

I've done it once as self-employed (Selbständige).

It was straight-forward and I kept my counsellor fully in the loop. He had great doubt that I would pay the AHV due - I did and, again, that was straightforward.
