Question 1.

Does Swiss post office offer insurance on goods sent (or DHL/UPS)?

-I would like to send a small piece of jewelry to USA and get insurance for it at 1.5k.

I tried finding information on insurance coverage on post.ch, DHL and UPS

Does anyone have experience with this?

I am sending this to my home in USA do I still have to pay customs on an item that is own by me, sent to me and is over 100 years old?

1. Yes you can send stuff tracked and insured, not sure the cost. (DHL charge 1.5% of value https://parcel.dhl.co.uk/faqs/what-i...for-insurance/ )

2. Yes you will have to pay import tax. Why are you posting your own ring to yourself??
