2 Tax Return Questions: Late Return, Quellensteuer

Hi everyone,

First question: so I completely dropped the ball and haven't filed my ZH taxes yet. And I likely won't be able to mail it for another 2 weeks as I'm on the road. Should I call and ask for forgiveness, or just submit late (this is also considering they haven't sent back anything regarding my 2014 return!) I searched but all the threads are 4-5 years old, and not very conclusive on what to do.

The second question is something I just realized from my 2014 return, when comparing it to my current return. I went through the 2014 return on privateTax, and it came out that I owed quite a lot of income tax, even though I pay quellensteuer. However, I cannot see the quellensteuer amount listed *anywhere* on the 2014 return. Where would this appear in the 2014 income tax return (or 2015 for that matter?) Maybe I don't owe an arm and a leg anymore, and maybe just an arm?

Thanks!

Matt

2) The tax office knows what you allready have paid via Quellensteuer/Tax at source. If you owe them money they will send you a bill, if they owe you money you will get a refund.

Thank you very very much!

Now I just need to return to Switzerland to get my Register Nr.
