We also have a new girl that does speak English Jole, but have not seen her work but she seems to be good. I am not sure of the prices. I have had a wax done by the woman that Barry is referring to (had one done before having a Barry haircut!) and she really is very very good. Lovely woman as well and will talk non-stop in a very pleasant way.

hi, this is a nice topic!!!! good wax is my biggest problem out here... have tried like 10places in France and 2 in Basel area - and uppsss.... also - is there any place where it's possible to get a full bikini waxing???? - otherwise i'm starting to think - that i am the only girl who want to have it like that....

Barry, do they also do a brazilian wax where you work? I really look for a nice place with English speaking people, and if they do brazilian, i'll be coming there for sure!
There is also a proper Aveda (Pure Aveda) salon just off Freiestrasse. Ask for Yvonne, she speaks English fluently (from Germany). Highlighly recommend her and most of her clients are expats as well.

I went last week for a leg & bikini wax to Harmoniza on freiestrasse above starbucks. They do the brazilian also and the woman speaks fluent English.

Yes, I also went to Harmoniza on Freiestrasse just above the Starbucks. I got an eyebrow wax done. They were very professional, spoke perfect english and the ambiance of the spa was excellent and very relaxing. I felt relaxed from the moment that I walked in. I was very happy with the service and I will definately go back.

So I've been here 6 weeks and it's about that time again, only I don't know where to go here, and after hearing horror waxing stories, I'm not game to just show up to any old beauty salon!
So, can anyone make a recommendation?
Perhaps I was a little naive, but I expected to find a thread about furniture. Or cars.
Actually I did not find any good waxer in basel, so I am going to Saint Louis in France, much cheaper! They are several beauty centers there, I am going to Quick epil, no appoitements, pretty cheap and funny girls!
