I was wondering if anyone had a recommendation for a driving school that offers the A1 Grundkurse (8 hours) in Zürich for students that don't speak German?
So far the only place I've found is motomoto who can do a private course in English for 500 CHF.
I've got a 125cc scooter and have converted my UK license to a Swiss one and got the learners permit / endorsement too, so I think this is the last part of the process.
Finally, I was wondering if I will be able to keep the A1 license once I move back to the UK? I.e. when I convert the Swiss license to a UK one, will the A1 part stay with me? This would be handy as it would mean I don't need to do the CBT and various exams there
Thanks for the suggestion - I had already contacted Florin as their prices were the best (by some margin!), however they confirmed via email that they do not do this course in English.
I guess it must just be their driving lessons that are offered in various languages.
I had done the A1 licence 8 hour training course couple of years ago with Florin motor training school and found its easy to follow the course. The instructors do give you instructions in mainly Swiss German but always provide a demonstration after each manouvre. In my case, the instructors also explained the manouvres in english.
Considering there isn't really a practical nor theory exam, the grundkurs training is rather straightforward.
