it is a swiss company that was purchased by Sky. It is available on a number of devices including tvs.
Maybe you use this service. As the article says good luck if you meet the criteria to download the films you have bought. I never buy films just rent them from streaming services so it is not a problem for me.
And that is exactly why you should never buy DRM hobbled content. You do everything legally, pay for the content, and then end up getting well and truely shafted. If you download the content illegally for free you often end up with a better product and there are no restrictions that are going to bite you in the rear at some later stage.
I'm not an advocate of freeloading from the web, but given the choice between paying 20 chufs for a film or album that has a high chance of becoming unplayable should the supplier go belly up, or a quick click of a magnet link and having unrestricted content permanently available to me, then common sense dictates which I should download.
I do buy content online, quite often, but only when it is unrestricted.
People selling you a file that is protected with "digital rights management" - every time you watch the movie does the file check online if you have the right to do so... if not it won't work. If the supplier switches it off, it won't work either. And usually it won't work because your mp3 player cannot deal with it or some other rubbish. Just avoid.
