Advantages of being 'Kader'

Is there any advantage of being employed as a "Kader", as opposed to "Non Kader", from contract/insurance/.. point of views?

Usual advantages of being a Kader (in Finance industry) from my personal exxperience:

Advantages:

Higher salary Higher share of bonus pot Better pension scheme conditions More vacation days Company credit card Daily expense of around Fr 50 without expense forms (usually when billed to company credit card) Don't need to clock in / out Disadvantages:

More responsibilities No overtime, you finish work when you finish Erm...

Where I work there are also various perks and things, some of which are probably historic and don't make much sense today. But one thing that can be both positive and negative (depending on your point of view and the circumstances) is that the termination notice period is longer. Another nice thing is that I can "buy" up to 10 extra vacation days a year. If I want to have a medical examination, I won't get it for free but the company will foor some percentage of the bill. Maybe some more things a bit like that that i can't remember now but that are nice to have.

My employer seems to put on a few "Kaderausflug" trips every year. They all go off on a jolly somewhere or other, paid for by the company.

For the benefit of those to whom this isn't quite clear.

It means no PAID overtime You finish work when you have finished it.

Correct, but a kader can b*gger off early without clocking out (as a lot of my colleagues do - not me!)

In finance/insurance you are "Kader" if you have one of the follwing titles:

Vice President, Director, Executive Director, Managing Director

(Associate, Assistant Vice President, Assistant Manager, Associate Director are not real "Kader").

Yes. It has the same number of syllables as "tosser".
