AHV/AVS Pension Deferment

My wife is a couple of years older than me and is now 64, so she is entitled to her Pillar 1 pension.

I'm still working, so my first thought was that it would be best to defer it until I reach 65 in 3 years.

However, when I look at the numbers, I see that the increase for 3 years of deferment is 17.1%. I calculate that it will take over 17 years to reach break even point (3/0.171).

It would seem to make sense to start taking this (relatively small) amount now with a view to investing it in an ETF.

Does anyone sees it differently?
