There’s been a very effective HPV vaccine around for a good few years now.
It’s on the recommended vaccination schedule here and the canton organises information sessions and vaccinations for the young people.

The HPV vaccine protects only against 9 selected strands - the ones that are of highest onco-triggering risk. There are about other 200 medium onco-triggering risk. The more we know about this family of viruses, the more they are related to a lot of human conditions…
