All change at the James Bond helm

At least they didn’t give control to Disney who (apparently) have screwed up Doctor Who’s popularity with excessive wokeness including pregnant men, drag queens and goodness knows what else.

The name’s Bond, James Bond - but you can call me Shirley at weekends.

I really want to see Idris Elba in the role.

Well, that all started when the Master became the Mistress. Was only going to go more downhill from there.

Damn, well that’s my MI6 cover blown then.

Sums up what’s likely to happen pretty well.

Perfect, company owner could be cast as next villain and he brings his own yacht(s). This will minimize production costs!

And Elon could be ‘Q’, furnishing Bond with a flying Tesla and Neuralink X-ray vision implant.

I think at that point my love of the 007 franchise will be over.

Or a chainsaw…

Is Idris Elba still a runner up? He would make an awesome Bond

Amazon could scoop this new ground breaking flying car for James Bond while it’s still in the assessment stage. :sunglasses:

„My name is Bond, James Amazon Bond!“

What I dread is the possibility that “Social media” loving companies like Amazon might be tempted to abandon producing cinematic movies altogether and produce Bond movies in Portrait mode.

Why people have “this thing” about filming all their home video’s in “portrait mode” I don’t know - personally “portrait mode” is not my cup of tea for personal videos & home movies, as it’s easy enough to turn your smartphone on it’s side to film in “landscape mode”

It’s because reels and Tiktok videos are in portrait mode.

Because everybody is filming with mobile phones and viewing on mobile phones. Portrait mode is the native format there.

Yes I can understand Tiktok users sharing their films in portrait or vertical mode.
So would you guys welcome the next James Bond film produced entirely in Vertical rather than horizontal mode ??? although surely you would prefer to watch it on your big Living room TV widescreen at home rather than on a small smartphone screen ?

Unless you have a little motor on the back of your living room TV widescreen which swivels the TV screen by 90 degrees to watch Vertical screen TV programs, films ( so no side borders ) or movies ??

There are quite a few full length films which were filmed on an iPhone:

Unsane, Tangerine, and Ghost of my father - to name three.

All were made in landscape mode.

I believe some smartphones have a feature called “Director’s View” where you can record a video in both vertical & horizontal ( portrait & landscape ) mode at the same time.
It might mean recording the video with the Smartphone recording on it’s side but ( we have the technology !! ) for the finished recording to be produced in 2 formats, one for Tiktok and the other for my home video to be watched on my Living room TV widescreen.

Can’t stand portrait mode.
But I’m not on tiktok and if I do get linked to such videos (mostly in news programs) I see them on a computer monitor.

As I know nothing about this technique I also always sonder why there is blurred out “stuff” on each side of them. Without that it might not be so bad.
