'All-You-Can-Eat' in Zürich

Ciao Guys!

My first thread (in the Food and Drink section of course - huzzzzzah!!! ) is here, and after being here fore just over a year, I'm still missing those " All-You-Can-Eat" Buffets I know from the UK.

Do you have any suggestions here in Zürich? The only one I know of is a Sushi Place that offers All You Can Eat Sushi for 80 Sfr.

80 Franks !!! Christ on a bike, know what I mean!? NOT what I meant to pay, not even for an All-You-Can-Eat...

So - any suggestions are welcome!

There is an Indian doing an all you can eat buffet in Zurich for 35CHF for the veggie version, and 45CHF for the meat version.

I forget the name, but the posters have been on every tram lately. I will post again when I see it tonight.

Sam's Pizza, All You Can Eat Chicken Wings every Monday night.

i believe Hiltl has such a thing: http://goo.gl/maps/s8KMK

for the buffet, over certain price (50 CHF, maybe) you can eat as much as you want, per person. (vegetarian)

Tandoor Haus do one for 25CHF during the week. Their food is very good also, eaten in a few times, take away other times, always very good. Though one cannot just fill a 'to go' tray from the all you can eat, that's always a la carte.

looked at sams pizza website, they have mittagshit on their menu

Hee hee.

All you can eat pizza & pasta for 15CHF here .

Not bad but you need to book in advance to get a table

imagine at the Zurich main train station (HB) does a nice brunch/breakfast buffet from 10am to 2pm on Sundays for CHF 38.

Is this the one? http://www.khans.ch/media/khans/down...eat_Zusatz.pdf

I've eaten there before and the food was great (although it was from the normal menu, so i have no idea what the buffet is like).

Also, I'm told that 'a discretion' means 'all you can eat' in Switzerland, so it's worth looking out for that on menus - Han's Mongolian Barbeque (Uster is the only one around Zurich) has a couple of things they offer on their menu.

Good point.

BTW there's a number of places that offer Fondue chinoise or Fondue bourguignon à discretion. E.g. in Zurich the Burgwies comes to mind.

Does anybody know "All-you-can-eat" restaurant in Geneva?

Wow guys, thanks for your submissions!

Awesome!!! I'll make sure I'll try a few out of these.

Does anyone know a CHINESE All-you-can-eat too?

Any idea what this offer costs? It doesn't say anywhere I checked...

That is the one!!! Thanks

Ahhh jeez, you give an inch and they take a mile

EDIT to answer Chinese question:

Not that I am aware of. Chinese food here is ridiculously expensive and of rather low quality.

My two favourite places in Zurich are Nagasui and Sai-Gon, not exclusively Chinese food but a mix of Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese.

Nagasui have weekly specials for lunch menus, and Saigon do a kind of buffet style lunch whereby you can mix up dishes and rice or noodles etc, but certainly not as much as you want, and the little lady who most often handles the buffet at lunch time is the most miserable angry asian woman you will ever meet. But they do a lovely butter chicken, and the duck is good too.

There's Yan's which is a general Asian restaurant. The portions are very generous, service is never slow and it's quite decently priced (most main course dishes being around 29 - 35). I don't know if they do all you can eat but the rice is all you can eat.

It's located near Schwamendingerplatz.

As for the Indian all you can eat restaurant: Khan's which is located in Niederdorf. Vegetarian or general all you can eat, like CHF40 I think.

The restaurant Commihalle, close the Zurich main station, has a very good all you can eat Italian buffet. They call it Tavolata and its available from Tuesday to Saturday for 40 Fr. including a maincourse of meat and pasta, or for only 32 Fr. with only the unlimited antipasti buffet and the equally unlimited dessert and cheese buffet.
