American bathtub (1 foot high) for a bathroom renovation

Hello,

I'm planning to renovate a bathroom, and am planning to install a low bathtub (walls are only about 1 foot high). These bathtubs are the standard size in the US and are practical as they provide a simple bathtub, but do not require a high step to get into the tub. It seems standard bathtubs in Europe, France and Switzerland normally have quite high walls. Does anyone know where I can buy this bathtub in Switzerland or France? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Greengrass

I've been away awhile but I've never seen a bathtub with a height of 12 inches in the US. We have a Duravit 2 person bath tub that stands 575 mm tall (encastré/built-in) which is about 22 inches tall

In my experience, there are no measurable differences between Swiss & US bathtubs in terms of wall height

Check with a Schreiner that does bath remodeling. There are a lot of items and product lines available that you’ll never see in a store. If what you want is not easy accessible, it may be possible to achieve the same effect with skilled tile and floor work or stainless steel.

There are some shower tubs which are 28 cm high https://www.schmidlin.ch/products/du...ief-28-cm.html and bath tubs which are only 40 cm deep https://www.badshop.de/badewanne/fil...3%B6he--40_cm/

But are you sure it is only 12 inches? https://www.houzz.com/discussions/25...ofile-bathtubs
