Another second hand products marketplace

There is some news about a complaint on “violating antitrust law” in online marketplaces in Switzerland.

The real news for me was the existence of an alternative to the tutti, ricardo, anibis trio.

It could be worse, I didn’t even know about anibis until now!

also facebook marketplace and ebay

WellMarco appears to surcharge the bill by 5% to somehow protect you from Scammers. That suggests that 1 in 20 offers are fraudulent.

ebay.ch shows up stuff from around Europe, not my neighbors. FB marketplace implies using facebook locally. Nope, can’t risk that.

Also, in the year of the lord 2025, is it reasonable to rely more on US companies?

The real news for me is that none of them were owned by the COOP or Migros duopoly!

that’s detailed in Axa’s link, post 1

edit: Ah sorry, you would have to run that one through deepl.
Swiss Marketplace Group (SMG).

It was also totally new to me that Ricardo, Tutti and Anibis are all under the same roof.

i read German. I am just lazy  …and have 2 much work
And who’s behind??? ahhh! another Swiss institution… Tages Anzeiger and the Mobiliar!

You need to work on your German reading.

I’ve not been on Ricardo for years. But I remember the last few times there was a lot of stuff one could buy new there. People/companies used it like an amazon platform I guess.

Just an other cool idea that was great while it lasted and then got commercialized. Not worth crying about, it was fun while it lasted is good enough for me. I used to sell quiet some stuff on there but that is years ago. Last thing I bought on Ricardo was my stokke chair. Great thing, would not want to live without it anymore.
