Can't seem to find antibac surface spray such as dettol or similar. Am I just missing it or is it not available here?
Use vinegar, dirt cheap and better than all those chemicals, check it out!
Swiss people don't usually feel the need to use it. Hot water, a microfibre cloth, a bit of detergent and you're good to go.
I don't believe Swiss people fall in more than anyone else...
Maybe Denner? They seem to have quite a few detergents.
Otherwise, perhaps a baby antibacterial spray may do the job? I bought one at the local Apotheek, but I think Migros may have a similar product in their Baby Millet range.
I've seen dettol in Coop, though maybe just hand wash. But I also just use vinegar and cleaning alcohol.
I have had the same problem and wanted a non-bleach, anti-bacterial spray as I have small kids - couldn't find it anywhere! No problem finding it in France though (dettol multi-use spray) so maybe depending on where you live you could pop over the border and find it there?
Overuse of antibacterial detergents around young kids is the no.1 cause for allergies later in life. Just saying.

Dettol anti-bac wipes and a variety of anti-bac sprays are available in our local pharmacy (Sunstore)
If your kids are getting sick a lot, there's probably something else that causing it.
Actually, that hypothesis is currently being questioned:
Hasn't it been show that for dirty hands at least (and we're talking young kids on this thread), good old soap and water is much more effective than that anti-bacterial gel.
The way I look at it, marketing is so good now days that they can convince you to buy anything that serves no purpose, could actually be worse for you (low fat but high sugar yogurts) and you don't really need.
Considering, that if you read the instruction and actually follow it, you have to dowse everything soaking wet for at least 1 minute and even more.
So why use it in the first place when you do not follow the proper procedure?
