Antiperspirant that works and doesn’t melt my skin

True. I think a lot of people prefer to have a combination antiperspirant and deodorant. Personally, I think sweating is a natural thing our bodies need to do. I try not to prevent it so much as to not smell terrible when I do sweat a lot.

This deo was a gift from a friend who knows I have sensitive skin. I have to say it’s pretty good and very gentle, and of course no aluminum:

I was about to recommend the same.

Either that or Vichy.

I have also used Rexona but I prefer Nivea

i will have a look through the whole range again. my ambitions are to: have no moisture to speak of whatsoever under my arms, to have no odour. if i see myself starting to sweat it makes me really stressy, can ruin a whole experience for me

did you try Perspirex?

FWIW, I sweat a LOT (sorry if TMI)

The thing I look for is no odour

All three seem to work but Vichy works best followed by Nivea

This seems a little excessive. Sweating is normal. If it stresses you to the point where you aren't enjoying whatever you're doing a psychologist may be of more help than a new deodorant.

That aside, I don't think you'll ever find anything that does both effectively. I stopped using deodorant with aluminum because it ruined my shirts, and now I've been pretty happy with an Alverde aluminum free roll on. I shower at work and use it there, and I still sweat when it's warm and I'm walking somewhere during my lunch break, I don't think there's any way to stop that, but I think my armpits smell fine. At least I hope they do.

I tried the 'strong' flavour from them - that is the reference to the skin melting experience in the original post. but maybe they have some other variants. do you have a good experience with any of them?

I only know it because my daughter had to use the strong one on doctor's advice to make her skin on her fingers and feet dry, as part of treatment for warts.

I also used the normal variant once myself. Seems to work but feels different than deodorant. Perspirex states that it works for 3 days but I guess you need to try it for a longer time to really test that.
