As per the subject, a man in need. The normal Nivea etc doesn’t do the job. I tried one of the pharmacy ones but it is literally acid. If someone has a good solution then you would be doing me a solid for calling it out!
Maybe try the deodorant crystals that have no aluminum. I've seen them sold in Muller, which has a pretty large selection of deodorants and antiperspirants. My husband has used the crystal kind before and liked them.
Since I developed allergy to aluminium and could not use antiperspirants anymore I wasn't able to find any other deodorant as effective as antiperspirant. They all just do not work. They do not prevent sweating, they just try to mask the smell.
I'm using "La Roche-Posay Physiologisches Deodorant 24h Stick" (liked it more than Vichy). It's pleasant but not even near as effective as antiperspirant.
I am using the Weleda deodorants as wanted to avoid aluminium. It's indeed not the same and have to reapply when very hot weather but does a good job of not making me smell
After years of armpit irritation and trying very deo/anti product, I simply stopped using any some 25 years ago. As long as I shower daily, there’s no problem...
Check out the cien products at Lidl. Women's range of antiperspirants does the job for intense sport activities and heat very well, better than anything else I bought before. And cien has some other hidden gems 😉
A doctor recommended this for the transition away from using deo and antiperspirant products: boil up (in very little water, for at least an hour) leaves of rosemary and mint. Strain. Cool. Dab this on the armpits. Mixture can be kept in the fridge for a few days. Alternatively, lemon-juice. The herbs seem to diminish perspiration. Both options, as does the baking soda (bicarbonate, called "Natron" in German) certainly do away with odour.
Male relatively expensive ones (of perfume brands) usually were OK.
Later switched to more natural versions and many did not work at all despite good reviews (e.g. sebamed, weleda, etc.)
Some that at least partially work for me are crystal ones, Annemarie Borlind and Body Shop. Still looking for the perfect one. Will try some of the suggestions above.
