Any Alan Partridge fans?

Alan: How much is a Monkey?

Builder: £500.

Alan: Errr, well how much is a mouse?

Builder: There's no such amount. A pony is £150.

Alan: I'll give you £200, that's a Pony and a bag of hooves!!

Mousse in a pot is nice, on a person it's just demented...

Two, or is it three, words:

Twenty-fifth February 2019!

It's been widely pointed out... what was once a self entitled, unaware, egotistical buffoon has gone from satirical genius to .. the new norm

Comic God... looking forward to it

p.s. the Partridge audiobooks are pure gold

p.p.s. to back up the idea that the media is full of partridge

Oh yes, I'm chuffed to buggery!

You should have buttered your arse beforehand and rubbered up.

oooh v sexy

I found the listing for the new show is on Radio Times and they also had an AP quiz.

https://www.radiotimes.com/quizzes/2...artridge-quiz/

First attempt I got :

I tried to kiss my face but ended up spinning around like Rommel chasing his own tail.

Hate doing the quote thing, but this always has me in stitches, Daaaaaaaaan...

btw .. check out the new Ron Burgundy podcast for an equally funny, different but similar thing

Bash yer arse!

Can't believe my luck I am flying at the time of the first episode's broadcast.

I am clinically fed up. Boo hoo.

This time next week we will be discussing "This Time".

When I tried to find the new show on the TV listings last week all I got was this result:

I know, I know, that's saaa-aaa-aaaad!

Not Alan Partridge, but Steve Coogan is great in the new film Stan and Ollie playing alongside John C. Reilly. I was lucky enough to see a pre-premier in the Netherlands on Boxing Day. I've been a massive Laurel and Hardy fan since a toddler. This film is about their personal relationship during their final UK tour in the 1950's when they were trying to resurrect their careers. It's funny, sad and very heartwarming at the same time.

It's out in the US and UK now and should be shown over here in July.

This RT article has some interesting insights into the format (I must say I am tremendously excited by all this) :

https://www.radiotimes.com/news/tv/2...e-review-bbc1/

"if you're a Partridge fan, This Time is everything you've been waiting for and more. Some of the best Alan Partridge ever made."

"This Time with Alan Partridge depicts full 30-minute episodes of the magazine show in real time."

"However, unlike Alan’s previous TV show Knowing Me, Knowing You, this time we don’t see the broadcast version of the programme. Instead, when most of the VTs are playing, we continue to see what’s happening in the studio, off air."

"A stellar performance from Susannah Fielding as Alan’s co-presenter Jenny Gresham (a very well-observed Alex Jones meets Susannah Reid) is complemented by occasional but sublime turns by Tim Key, who returns as Simon Denton (now manning a social media screen he can’t work)."

"In episode one he unmasks a hacktivist in classic Partridge style, reminiscent of when he exposed Lt Col Kojak Slaphead III as Martin Dwire back in Knowing Me, Knowing You."

"if – like me – you are a fan, perhaps even a student of Partridge, this show reaches parts that us ageing Patrovians didn’t dare dream could be stimulated again."

"There’s six episodes to enjoy, and you get the feeling this idea has enough legs to go beyond the first run."

Haha!

It is Alan's birthday today. A-HA ppy Birthday Alan.

Well last night's episode was a pretty good finale. A great cliffhanger. I doubt it if Jennie could be justified to walk off set just of a live TV show because of something a colleague said behind her back. Very unprofessional. Maybe she was suffering minor women's whiplash.

There is more new Partridge coming later in the year according to the Gibbons brothers but not in the This Time format.

My husband's name is Dan and is a huge Partridge fan. I've seen this clip more times than I can count

Lately we've been enjoying "This Time" tv show on BBC
