Any Alan Partridge fans?

Just thought i'd get this in the off-topic area.

Not sure what the situation is over there regarding seeing it (if you have a sky box then fine i suppose). So i was just wondering if there are any huge fans like myself out there?!

AHA!

Knowing me, knowing you.

I saw Steve Coogan live in Reading in the early 90s. Funny then, funny now.

Is there some new material coming out?

Back of the net!

Hi there, when I first saw him, I really wondered how anyone could like such a little twerp....

Still, I perservered (not a lot of choice living here if I want to watch English telly just over the normal services)

Now have to say, I really appreciate his brand of humour...

No idea if he has any new stuff coming up at all.

Cashback.

This sounds quite promising, as it has another great comedian on it - Noel Fielding of Mighty Boosh fame, but at 14.99 I'm too cheap to buy it.

Anybody know of a torrent for it?

In off the red .....

What I like about the Rover 627 Fastback is the hill-start option, allowing me to effortlessly move away from standstill, even on a steep incline...

Scum, sub-human scum, the lot of you

Maybe I've been here too long but I find the current crop of UK " comedians " to be a seriously unfunny lot.

They rehash the same stuff show after show. Partridge, Harry Enfield, Lenny Henry, the Little Britain Duo, Catherine Tate and Ben Elton all have me reaching for the remote...

Give me the comedy of Ronnie Barker, Eric Sykes or even Victoria Wood anyday.

Flippin' heck, I'm beginning to sound like my dad

He's not British, but my favourite comedian is an American called Doug Stanhope. Pretty dark and has no hope of getting on TV anytime soon (well he did do a disasterous run on the awful Man Show, which ended up with it getting cancelled). Absolutely hysterical but probably very offensive. I dont think this probably has to do with the genius of Coogan, but head to myspace if you are open minded and need some laughter (I was going to post a link but it would probably be booted from english forum for it).

Please post the link. It's only a link after all and you've qualified it by saying that it may be deemed offensive. People can click on it if they want to.

BTW, did you ever find a barber?

Nope, but I'm getting quite attached to my ever-growing thatch. Might leave it long for festival season and put off finding a barber until it is out of control.

Now, as Stanhope himself said "People will leave. I go on stage, it's like I'm leading you into battle -- you're not all going to be here at the end."

Don't hold me responsible if you are offended by this.

Not sure this is working so heres the link: http://youtube.com/watch?v=8APlx9btTn8

Voodoo! Java!

Not only a huge fan of The Partridge, but currently emulating his glory by living in a hotel for a month til I can find a flat :S

"Jet from Gladiators to host a millennium barn dance at Yeovil aerodrome" ........ "Properly policed. It must not, I repeat not, turn into an all-night rave"

Lobster, wibble, hatstand?

This is premier league, ten on ten. You guys really know your onions!

Glad to find some fellow Partridge-ites on here. Don't know if anyone has watched his new thing, Saxondale? Been out in the UK for a while now, at first i thought it was a bit cack, but now i really enjoy it.

Keep loving AP my fellow mentalists, or i'll make you smell my cheese you mothers!

Never mind alan, I'm completely besotted with Sally Philips.

Hah! Sunday, bloody sunday.... ahhhh....

Apparently she was in something called Hippies with Simon Pegg. Has anybody seen this? It was a bit before my time and I can't track it down anywhere.

I got bored after a few episodes of it. I was under the impression that the reason for this was because I don't think Coogan had anything to do with the writing of it. Was there another series?

For Coogan fans I recommend you watch A Cock and Bull Story. Very funny & intelligent film which also had Rob Brydon in it.
