I've combed through old RAV Rahmenfrist threads to try to find an answer but no luck.
My contract as a trainee will be finished at the end of November for a large company who hires very last-minute. It is still unclear if I will be able to nail down a permanent position so I have re-registered with the RAV today and it was brought to my attention that my Rahmenfrist from the last time I was on the RAV is ending this month and that because I will have only worked 9 months in that 24 month period, I will not qualify for a renewal.
This took me by surprise because I admittedly had not educated myself enough on this topic and had assumed that the 6 months of financial support I had left before starting my contract in March would simply pick up where it left off if I became unemployed again and that there would be time to find another job before all the money ran out completely.
Now it seems I will have absolutely no income starting in December. I have a spouse who is employed and a 2 year old child, and was wondering if anyone knows of any case in which the Rahmenfrist can be extended - for example, taking care of a child under 10. Or, if the ALK ever makes an exception and still offers some kind of financial support (I'm thinking this is very unlikely but would be curious to know if anyone has experienced otherwise).
Any input would be appreciated, I know it was dumb not to have brushed up better on the whole Rahmenfrist thing before but I honestly thought I'd easily get a job at this company once I got my foot in the door so wasn't thinking much about the RAV until now.
Thanks!
