i was wondering if anyone has had any recommendations with a good removals company from London to Zurich?

I can recommend Interdean.
Moved twice with them, Zurich to London and London to Zurich. The Swiss were great and very professional. However, if I had to move from London again, I'd definitely double check what the guys are packing or make sure to speak to everyone from the team- last time the lovely Brits packed the bag with the passports etc. hidden in the closet (but if you want to see your container at the storage place where your stuff will rest, go ahead!)
Other than that, relocation with them went smoothly.
I had a pretty poor experience with Abels : lost some of my items, and their removal team made promises the company failed to honour - and on top of this the company had some unexpected additional charges which were introduced at the last minute without warning.
All this is a pity, as apart from these (pretty major failings), I would have highly recommended them as they are pleasant to deal with and got most other things right.

I am moving as well... I found a website where u could fill in your details and they send an automatic request to several moving companies... They all came back to me via phone, gave me a quotes and some had references and video on their websites. So I used this to make a research:

When moving from London to Zurich, I deliberately opted for a Swiss company, not because of their good name but thought they would have more experience in clearing customs; I had a motorbike to be cleared and did not want to end up chasing various forms later on.
I chose welti-furrer because of price and their willingness to handle the motorbike
However, I contacted couple UK firms also beforehand and usually their prices were lower.
Packing and unpacking was not too professional but overall I am not too negative about them

Where are you in the UK - we moved from Leics and used Bardie removals part of Britannia. The owner made several visits and was great - and was very helpful when our house sale fell through and all dates had to be changed. Great packing and service.

We used Luker Bros, based in Oxford, for a London to Basel move. I did a quick look on here before the move and they had a couple of poor references but I was impressed with them.
They were very punctual and the communication was great, initial assessment followed by calls on delivery day etc. In addition the cost was reasonable.
Bad experience with Lukar Brothers. Poor email correspondence and unhelpful

I was quoted 2000£ for a long wheelbase mercedes sprinter from Lymington to Baar. Is this cost reasonable? Will like to hear from you if you dont mind talking about the cost you've paid. Pallet shiping cost / experience also happy to hear.
