I’m based in Switzerland and have two indoor cats — both are fairly active, especially the younger one who’s around 2 years old and basically treats the apartment like a parkour course 
We live in a fairly typical apartment (not huge, but an open-plan living space), and I’ve placed the current cat tree near a window so they can look outside. It gets used a lot every day — climbing, jumping between levels, napping at the top — but over the past few months I’ve noticed it’s started to wobble quite a bit, especially when both cats are on it at the same time.
One of them has also started jumping from the couch directly onto the middle platform, which definitely doesn’t help with stability. Because of that, I’m starting to think it might be time to replace it with something more solid rather than just patching it up.
I’ve been looking around a bit at taller multi-level cat trees. Some of them look really nice in photos, but it’s hard to tell how stable they actually are once cats start jumping around on them every day. Some of the cat trees look pretty sturdy, but I haven’t seen many long-term experiences from cat owners yet, so I’m curious how they hold up in real homes with active cats.
What I’m really after is something that:
stays stable even with fast jumping between levels, without wobbling when they land hard can comfortably handle two cats using it at the same time (they often end up chasing each other on it) has enough scratching space, especially vertical posts since they use those constantly fits reasonably well into a living room without feeling too bulky or “industrial-looking”
If anyone has a cat tree that has actually held up well over time with active cats, I’d really appreciate any recommendations or real-life experiences. Especially curious about how they’ve held up after months (or years) of daily use, not just right after buying.
