I went to view a flat today which was out in the middle of nowhere. The guy told me that there is only the possibility to get swisscom and the wiring is old so only limited speed internet and telephone works.
They intend to install the newer cables next year meaning that high speed internet will be available but for now its only possible to get tv over satelite.
Dos anybody have swisscom satelite? can you get the full package which is available on the normal digital box with english channels and on demand tv
nice comeback, but no, around 20 mins drive out of lenzburg (towards ZH), its on the border of a forest and only has 1 neighbour so probably explains why they are a little behind on the wiring
No need for Swisscom TV. Put up a dish, connect to a Freeview box for UK channels (and to its Swiss equivalent if you want Swiss TV too - in which case you need a double-headed LNB as they're on different satellites). If terrestrial digital channels are all you need, forget about the Swiss sat receiver, just plug the antenna cable into your modern TV set that has an inbuilt decoder (or into the decoder box for your not-so-modern TV set) Then just pay Billag as usual.
