The strike has been announce from 12 noon on Thursday so my flight should go.
If you are worried and a little flexible I would call them now and ask if you can be rerouted, perhaps on the BA flight or connecting flights via Frankfurt, Munich or Zurich departing before 12 Noon.
Perhaps wait until Tuesday morning to see if there is any news but don’t leave it to the last moment.
I’m coming back Friday but via Zurich and the train.
Good luck and safe travels.
If they are confident the flight will operate they won’t cancel and will expect uou to turn up for it. Plan to be there early.
If they do cancel try and be prepared to tell them what you want to do, change the day, go via Frankfurt, Munich or Zurich?
Does anyone know how long this strike is expected to go on? Just Thursday afternoon? Or indefinitely?
Just in time for the school holiday rush; Geneva City breaks up on Wednesday, the cantonal schools on Friday.
The meeting’s happening now, at the moment it looks likely that the strike will go ahead, but starting Friday morning (6-10 am) rather than immediately after the meeting as originally planned.
I guess airlines are finding out now if they can operate or not.
I expect airlines that overnight their aircraft will be the first to blink. The won’t want their aircraft stuck on the ground.

The airport is closed…

…anyway, there are airplanes departing and arriving from GVA. Some long haul flights (NYC, Doha) are still arriving. So, there’s a lack of information for passengers.

Lots of flights cancelled and delayed. App is GVApp on Apple Store.
According to App only passengers allowed in Terminal, nobody else.
