anyone hear of 'Evil Clown' Dominic Deville? / birthday surprise for kids?

this was forwarded from a friend in the states.

the headline was:

Swiss Parents Hate Their Kids

In Switzerland, parents hire "Evil Clown" Dominic Deville to stalk their children for a week, leave them threatening notes, and finally attack them with a cake in the face, for their birthday. Military neutrality has a dark side. [Metro UK]

anyone hear of this!?

LOL!!! Yeah I read about that! I was gonna make a thread about him! Hhahaha! I hope the parents are doing it for older children like teens and preteens, not little kids. LOL!

This can't be true really.......

that explains the Swiss character

I wasn't sure - but I think it is true.

he's in Lucerne - or so they say.....

If this is true its no wonder there are so many people that are scared of clowns. I do like the bit about if they manage to avoid getting hit by the cake then they get to keep it. If someone dressed like that came anywhere near me and tried to 'attack' me I would not be hanging around to see if i had 'won' a cake.

haha this is awesome. i'd totally hire him to mess with some friends of mine.

A few of us read dlisted.

Ok, it was in the media lately and one thing is for sure: This is not for kids, but grown-ups. So you can all relax.

A demonstration of the Swiss sense of humor, they outsource pranks.

I agree. I think the headline was just provocative humor. and kind of funny.

I'm sure no one imagines this is really for tots. after all - the mantra in my house come December is "Santa's not scary, Santa's not scary, Santa's not scary." and he brings gifts.

I'd love to have this guy running after me through the main station / overtaking me as I ride my bike home at night / ambushing me in the laundry room.

It'd be like being in a private Stephen King movie

You sure this is not some kind of alter ego, Uncle Max?

Weird. He even appears in the mirror, looking back at me. Dunno how he does that, but it's cool...

I actually am starting to think this is real. A quick google search found multiple hits on news sites and in 20 minuten they had a link to his site to order him:

It cracked me up, I thought I would use it for my kids(when I have them) but then again the psychotherapy to follow might be to expensive...great idea for a nasty kid though (just kidding!).

Any clown is scary... They don't need to put more brownish masks and show some pointy teeths...

Even as a child I found it was scary someone not funny at all, dressed in weird way, always smiling (on drugs???), etc...

Even now it looks like to me they are escaped from mental institute...

Famous clowns for me:

1) Pennywise. Scary but at least he doesn't pretends

2) St-Raphael's (near cannes) clown: he used to live on parking lot, was drunk and dirty all the time.

He's a product of the angry SVP party.

Great idea, certainly an exciting "present" to give!
