[If a tattoo is applied to a minor, the artist can be charged with assault in many countries. ]
It is not a question of having small minds, it is a question of spoiling beautiful bodies. Would you like to see a big Microsoft or Apple advertising board in front of a beautiful lake? That is the reason I detest tattoos. As you go about town, look at the people not displaying tattoos, imho they all have the better jobs.
An Apple or Microsoft advertising board is just that - advertisement. I don't think the OP is talking about tattooing a logo. Many people believe tattoos to be works of art. Just like this sculpture in Buenos Aires - many believe it's beautiful and adds to the beauty around it.
And as far as having better jobs you are fooling yourself if you believe that unless your emphasis was meant to be on the word "displaying". I know many very successful people (including myself and my husband) that have multiple tattoos.
To the OP, if the law here is 18 then wait until you are 18 or get your parents permission somehow. If your parents wouldn't approve, definitely wait.
Hhahahah my point exactly you are judging on the way people look and generalizing .This person is tattooed therefore they have a shit job or they are a criminal. My husband is in finance ,he made his first million before he was 30 ,and he is covered in tattoos .We should not all like the same thing ,each to their own .The thing i find is tho ,tattooed people won't judge a non tattooed person before they even spoken to him .
I really like the idea of a tattoo but I think they should always be something personal to the person who has it on their body. I don't like the ones that are trendy and can be defined by a time or movie or some other such thing like the barbed wire or tribal tattoos that have been around over the last few years. Not the right reason to get inked IMO.
Maybe the OP has a reason for wanting a tattoo - the OP did not post, asking to be judged or even asking if people thought it was a good idea to get a tattoo. The OP asked if anyone knew of good tattoo parlors.
The world would be a much better place if people would keep judgments to themselves and be a bit more accepting of other people's choices.
If you don't have an answer don't answer. If you want to have a discussion on the value of tattoos, start another thread.
He can do what he wants with his body. I would judge him on that though. He's doing it for effect. He can't see it himself unless he looks in a mirror.
He may even want to shock and horrify people. I don't know.
Perhaps a psychiatrist would be the one to ask.
I have an objection to him tattooing the face of a girl.
I like tatoos, done artistically, and in moderation.
But ... I believe the sole of the foot to be a really bad place , because one has many nerve endings there and it`s a very sensitive (as in affecting one`s general health sensitive) place to go injecting inks into. Talk to a Reflexologist about it first .
Tiny tatoos are cheap looking, imo. They say. . . "I wanted a tatoo but couldn`t afford a decent sized one".
And they are also rather old fashioned now - as someone here has already pointed out - their "best by" date has expired. Ask me, I`m over 60 and have a decent sized one - I could afford at the time. (And OH was it painful! ....... like being slowly carved into with a razor blade .... while having an Albino Python staring at me (resident in the parlour - those were the days )
Visible tatoos are for rather older folk who`ve already settled into their careers, have nothing to hide, and no need to worry about what others think of their artistic endeavours.
