thanks in advance
Other than migros/coop.
Aldi/Lidl?
I found them less expensive in French grocery stores - Carrefour, Geant, Hyper, etc..
By the way, does anyone know if some of the foods in France are subsidized? I was about to buy half a dozen onions, then realized that a 10KG sack of the same onions was actually cheaper. I noticed the same with potatoes, baguettes, and beef for stewing.
I just got home from the Lidl in Germany..... 0.69 Euro cents a can ;-)
I buy loads of canned tuna (I split it with my cat), and I just shop around until there's an Aktion on at one of the supermarkets. Best bet is to wait it out.
Also, if you want to buy a LOT lot, like in cases, they are available at wholesale price at Prodega CC (Cash and Carry) . Except you'll need to go with someone with a membership.
There is a strong price/quality correlation with respect to tuna... no?? The cheaper you go, the more flaky brown bits you see and the fishier it smells
You want tuna that's cheaper than Coop's 9chf/kg or Migros' 7chf/kg?
You sure about that?
Yes and no...I buy two kinds - white albacore in Spanish olive oil for about 5chf/100g and pink tuna in spring water for 90rp/100g. They both have their purpose (but the cat only gets the latter).
Just how much are you looking for? I could arrange for lots of 10tonnes up to 35 tonnes direct from Japan.
Multifood is really near us, but it looks like there's only one shop. I have no idea if they deliver or not (I'm guessing not as far as Zurich). Tinned goods are under 'produits coloniaux'. If it doesn't help you, maybe it can help people in the area... we get stuff from there from time to time and it's great. Such a shame we don't have a chest freezer!
