Anyone seen anything like this before?

A friend looking for an apartment saw this bit of nuttery.

cell phones have to be in flight mode, wifi is banned.

Would suit the keen tinfoil hat enthusiast.

Ideal fĂĽr eine Person / Ideal for 1 person.

Ahhh funny times. Species that “must be kept in groups of at least two animals” have more rights that potential tenants of this flat. Canaries must have a partner, but it’s not ideal that humans live with one in spite of having 65 m2 of living space

I once had a flatmate that told her migraines and other disorders were caused by the wifi and turned it off every night. I always wondered why turning off the wifi and not feeling well was a better alternative than visiting a doctor to find the cause of the issues

PS. strong cult vibes.

Some people believe there is elektro smog that is health damaging.

But with Radio and TV broadcasts, mobile phone towers, military and civil aircraft radios, &&& one can only avoid this by turning the apartment into a Faraday shield.

That means lining the whole apartment, floor ceiling and walls with a conducting material preferably well earthed.

Maybe that’s what they did? At least they offer LAN.

I guess it’s legitimate and if it makes them feel better (if nothing else mentally) I see no reason to criticize it. Just don’t move in.
It’s definitely better than being bitched at in the elevator in the morning for having uses your lavender soap in the shower

It could be perfect for the “right” tenant! Baufritz, the big German builder, offers electrosmog protection…

EM sensitivity became a bit of a fad at one time, a bit like those asking for non-gluten, only more niche.

No one talks about mobile phone masts any more, apart from for aesthetic reasons.

That used to be a thing.

Hahahah that’s a funny one, being near zurich, the area is covered by far more intense radiation then some little wifi  just to think about what it takes to maintain that mobile networks coverage there

How do they know that the phones are in airplane mode?

Do they have a nano cell or an IMSI catcher in the building?

I do wonder if the whole building is tempest-proofed and lined with copper wire.

Perhaps they thought they could rely on trust?

I’d love to see the applications from would-be tenants! :face_with_spiral_eyes:

I would not be surprised if an abbey didn’t have such strict rules
