Anywhere in German part of Switzerland to Celebrate Cinco De Mayo?

Anyone know of any good Mexican Restaurants that will be celebrating Cinco De Mayo here? You know Margaritas, Coronas, Nachos, Tacos, Burritos, etc. while wearing a Sombrero?? If so, would anyone be interested in a Social Event??

Well, we do have a Mexican restaurant and bar here in Basel, called La Fonda .

Their food is pretty good, the margaritas also hit the spot... whether or not they'll have a Cinco De Mayo celebration there, I do not know. They do have a way to contact them via their website.

Alas, I have other plans that evening so haven't looked into anything myself.

It is much more than getting drunk and eating beans. I wonder if the French part or French celebrate it

I was at La Fonda once and to be honest, was a little disappointed... but then this is Switzerland

I think Tres Kilos in Seefeld is the best Mexican restaurant in Zürich. You could try them.

Well, having lived in a few areas of the US with restaurants owned and operated by generations of Mexican families, La Fonda was not quite "there" for me either to be honest BUT also knowing that they may make some effort to use local product for certain things, it helps rationalize the differences.

Also, a couple of the restaurants I used to go to were owned by folks from Michoacan and I noticed that food from other restaurants was a bit different... so I chalk up some of the difference to the possibility that the recipes used were from another region.

(Then again, there was the added HUGE benefit of it being a dinner that hubby enjoyed and I didn't have to cook... )

What I truly crave is a blue corn green chile enchilada......

I wonder how that would taste if you made it with Swiss cheese

I guess it's most probable to find Mexican restaurants celebrating September 16th than May 5th. Though, it may be worth to check their web sites (or call) just in case any of them is doing something special.

Ruin them, probably not allowed anyway, Slammer went ape over them things and the bestestste I found at a street vendor in Pantitlan.

I might have lost the taste after being in CH for a while, but enchiladas can taste good with Mozzarela or that Turkish hard cheese.
