App Recommendation for Driving

Hi everyone!

I recently moved to Lucerne and have a Driver's license from my home county in Nepal.

Which app (in English) would you suggest for learning to drive here in Switzerland?

(Note: I use an iOS device.)

try a driving instructor!

To get around, I use Apple Maps, it's pretty good and much better than it used to be.

To learn to drive here, I agree completely with Island Monkey, get an instructor, or at minimum have someone who knows the rules and laws here show you the ropes if you're already an experienced driver.

Do you mean an app to prepare you for the theory exam? The sort of thing that teaches you all the rules and regulations for driving here.

My wife used Grand Theft Auto.

Yes, I mean an app to prepare for the theory part as the rules and regulations are different here.

Ahhhh, like this one?

There are also books about this

Prati, just ignore the comedians.

I just searched for ‘swiss driving license app’ and I saw a few at the Apple store. I can’t really recommend one myself. Most appear to cost a few francs.

I suppose you are looking for recommendations from someone that has used one recently. I’m sorry that isn’t me.

Good luck.

I also found this https://www.expatica.com/ch/living/t…erland-102892/ which explains the process.

Thank you very much!

ITheory application on smartphone. It cost like 20ch, but everyone I know (including my kids) use this app to learn for theory. Exactly same questions as on theory test.

The apps and books with the official question can be “found” here.

(“found” as it is more or less convenient)

Theorie24 and iTheorie have both the official questions.

Google "Driving today switzerland" along with itheorie.

Along with this do take some practical driving lessons with a Swiss school- I would recommend 20. They are expensive but well worth it especially if you come from a non EU country and non "happy country".

With conversion of you Nepal DL, you have 1 chance at a practical driving test. If you fail this, you start from scratch which will be even more expensive.
