I am in the throws of trying to get a new iPhone and while I can use the full site in French on my Mac, if I access the 'Apple Store' app from my phone I seem only to be able to see it in German. Anyone know if there is a way to change to French on the app? I had a look in the settings and I think it's driven by your AppleID registered address and can't see that French (or Italian for that matter) is an option.....please dont make me learn German too.....
Thanks!
EDIT: It's the Apple Store not 'App Store' or 'iTunes' app I mean - the one you use when you go in to the store and buy items......
Thanks for these!! It's the 'Apple Store' not the 'App Store' or 'iTunes' unfortunately - the one you can buy phones/macs/accessories etc through when you're online or instore......
I just had to double check mine yo see if it was in English or French ( I would have remembered had it been in German) and it's definitely in English even though our address is in the French speaking part of Switzerland.
No idea how we did it though. AFAIK IT's always been in English.
Yes, mine is in German too. I use the website rather than the app, & I use the Swiss German website, but alongside the UK apple site if I don't understand.
I just downloaded it from the app. store, and it's in German, with no apparent option to change.
There was on an old thread (2008) on Apple Forum relating to no French option on the Swiss Apple Store, but given the date, I'd be surprised if they were talking about apps.
It was resolved after about 20 emails, apparently.
