Are there any disadvantages for applying for a health insurance premium reduction for my 19 year old? I worry about our resident permits (EU) being renewed next year if we take up any “social insurance” as I am now self-employed and income isn’t what it was when we moved her 5 years ago. Would love to get a reduction but not if it means our permits could be denied.
I see there aren’t any replies yet, so have a bump. Hopefully someone will be along to share a personal experience or some links with info.
Well you’d need to get proper legal advice. But there is a general requirement to establish economic viability when five years, this is rarely a problem for people so there is little discussion on it. Applying for social assistance might be take as a failure to meet that criteria. But as I said you need to get legal advice.
