Are drugs and medicines excluded from co-payment and deductible during pregnancy?

My partner is 3 months pregnant. Her pregnancy check-up visits are mostly covered by the basic insurance without co-payment or deductible, such as ultrasound scans and lab work. However, the drugs and medicines prescribed by the doctor are still subject to the normal deductible regime. Is this standard?

While I can’t answer your question I can’t see why her medications wouldn’t be subject to franchise and co-pay.

As far as I understand it; all pregnancy related costs are exempt from franchise and co-pay. And then from week 13, all medical costs are exempt from franchise and co-pay. So as she is 12 weeks, that hasn’t applied yet.

For another 1-2 weeks, yes.

Once she hits 13 weeks, everything is covered
