the swiss: a hardworking nation. that's what i though before i have the opportunity to work with them in a daily basis, my experience showed me the contrary. many i got to know come late in the office, they leave earlier, they are champions in avoiding responsabilities and consequences of mistakes. what's your experience?
After working here over 20 yrs, my experience is they are the laziest workers I have ever worked with & I have worked in 8 countries around the world. Now I think some moderator will come in now and criticize what I've just posted because that's what they do on this crap forum. Swiss generally lack innovation and inspiration and wait tto feed off others ideas.
They leave the office early to go home and do nothing.

i like to spend time with family and friends too, but i witness almost daily, how swiss co-workers (of course, not all. but still a lot of them) try to transfer their tasks to others in order to leave the office "on time". and when you reject to do their jobs you are marked as a "bad team player"!!! did you never experienced a situation like this?
ha, ha, you're damn right dude! innovation is a bad word here around. and is very irritating when somebody comes up with a creative solution for a given problem and unstead to cheer up and help to put it to work, they spend a lot of time to putting it down with arguments like "we never did it like that before...!" ha, ha, ha they 're funny!
no, i don't feel that the swiss in general are efficient at all, i believe that the cause of being sloppy workers is that they are in many cases under-instructed and for some reason they think they are geniuses. which from my point of view is a bad, bad combination.

you're welcome man, i needed many years to realise how things really are here.
at the beginning i felt i was wrong and the locals were right. but in the meantime i have had the chance to work with germans, brits and austrians (by the way, they complained a lot about the swiss, he, he) and i have to say that working with them was a completely different story, rewarding, more enjoyable and a lot more fun. the only good work experience with swiss guys, was when i reported directly to the company's owner. that was like...normal.
From my experience, I found them to be corrupt and sloppy workers because they have had life too easy too long. Usually employing higher qualified people than themselves to use as peers & incumbents to delegate there own work because they simply cannot do the work unless it's making chocolates or clocks. LOL.
Also, they have never been hungry enough. why not?, all that dirty money in swiss banks, whilst honest countries have money laundering laws. read on if you like.......
and that's exactly why I'll leave this swiss forum and look for one with overseas people who see the difference between right & wrong. I can tell after 2 days, that most of the members are swiss disguised as foreign. go well, my friend and good luck. TTT the lionheart
God you are irritating!! I hate to get wound up with such crap but i can't help myself. The irony is that a lot of people may have had empathy with you but you have come across abusive and agressive. Why should people want to enter into a discussion with you and either agree or disagree when your responses are so full of aggression? Most people on this forum agree that 'some' Swiss can be racist and that its a racist society so why can't you debate and discuss these points in a reasonable maner? You have alienated yourself within a couple of days of joining rather than sitting back, getting to grips with the forum, understanding how it works (i.e its not a forum for slanging matches) then posted in an adult manner, instead you came in guns blazing wanting to pick an argument with people, even people who may have similar gripes as you but do not voice their opinions in such an agressive, racist and generalising way.
This forum is called the English Forum not the Swiss Forum which means its a forum to speak English within, so yes, there may be some Swiss here funnily enough speaking English, there are people from all over the world here discussing living in Switzerland using English to communicate.
I appreciate that you have had bad experiences living here, other people have posted similar bad experiences (if you read through the forum you will see) but they have not come in here intent on provoking people, insulting people, why do you have to?
