Switzerland is falling in the rankings vs some other countries. But is it because we are becoming less happy or others are becoming more happy?

I’m always a bit sceptical of these studies because, what’s the criteria? Money? Free time? Weather? Price of beer? Access to cuddly puppies?
I share your scepticism, but love that western social (mainly high tax) democracies occupy all the top positions. Funny, maybe western europe is not doing that badly after all.

Legal weed obviously not, I think it is still only Netherlands and Germany. Suicide rate neither.
It is a philosophical question that cannot be answered by statistics. You would need to build a statistical question with measurable results.
