ASOS returns from Switzerland ( online order )

Hello everyone,

I ordered some items from ASOS, but they didn't fit properly and I'd like to return them. I followed the online instructions for making the return label for Switzerland.

The instructions also state to " GET A PROOF OF DROP OFF RECEIPT from the drop off point and keep this receipt safe (If your parcel gets lost or damaged then you will be unable to claim from us without a drop off receipt) "

How would I ask for a drop off receipt in German ? Also, should I write anything on the bag such as ' return ' in German ?

*** Edit ** Forgot to mention that I had free shipping and returns. So, no postage is due. Hence, I'm not sure what to say when I go to the Post.

Wasn ́t there a document to return the goods? Often you have one part with the address where to to return the goods and one part that you can get stamped when you have it shipped at the post office.

My girls are constantly ordering and returning items to ASOS, I've never come across this drop-off receipt. They simply print off the return label and send it back.

They have a returns note, but in order to send it back you have to create the sending label online.

Then ship the items along with the returns note, and place the label on the bag. The label doesn't say anything about it being a return. It just has barcodes.

Hand it over mail person at post office, take receipt.

If you do not get it, ask for a Versandquittung or Einlieferungsbeleg (CH-DE Iilifärigsbeläg)

Does the barcode number start with 99.01? Than it is a return

Just an update . Went to Post and dropped off the package. They gave me a receipt after scanning it, I didn't have to ask for one. Afterwards, ASOS sent a notification that the package was received at the Post , and refund would be issued.

Do you have to pay VAT for Asos orders or does it come in fine?
