Attestation Quittance - Geneve

Hello,

I'm a little confused and was after some assistance! I've been asked by the Geneve canton for my "Attestation Quittance 2009". However, I have no idea what this is, or where to get it!

If anyone can point me in the right direction, i'd be much appreciated.

Many thanks!

Its a Geneva specific tax document - and I'm meant to have filled it out. However, I don't know how/where/what it is...

guessing you're an expat and that you are taxed at the source, I would say it's an attestion you should have received from your employer about what have been paid at the source.

but it's just a guess....

If I understand correctly, it's a stamped document from the tax authority which states that all your taxes for 2009 are in order. To get one, you'll have to go to the Hotel de Finances on Rue du Stand with your all of your monthly salary documents from 2009 and ask for one. I can't remember what floor it's on, but people at reception downstairs should help you out.

Actually, after some quick checking, it seems that your employer is supposed to give you one, too. Have you checked with your HR department?

I actually asked, and they said "its not us". Then after finding a document online that vaguely says that should provide it.. they're looking into it.

I'll update the thread once i find out more (for anyone else who has this issue).

Thanks for the responses!
