Authentic Swiss Cow Bell

Hi

Hopefully this is the right place for this question.

I'd like to buy an old fashion Swiss cow bell as a souvenir before leaving Switzerland (we've been here 2 years now).

Anyone aware of a reputable place to find something special / unique?

Thanks!

I came across this shop when previously looking at this, although never ordered one in the end:

A bit of a drive from you, but we found a farmers 2nd hand barn in Walenstadt SG, info on this thread (sorry, all the photos have since been moved). He had real old used cow bells, not the shiny tourist ones and prices seemed pretty reasonable (a beautiful one from 1949 was 300.00)

We drive past this guy http://www.glocken-mathis.ch/ in Wolfenschiessen, NW very often, and have bought some sheep bells from him as a gift.

He makes them all himself, and will fix straps and stuff to order, in his workshop while you wait. Really friendly old-school artisan.

If you want one that the farmers use, go,to Landi.

You may have to ask, if you can't see any on display - some things are just kept in the warehouse.

Have a look in flea markets, we have seen them at the one in Bürkliplatz in Zürich.

Steal one from an authentic Swiss cow.

Bloody theivin' forriners...

We bought a large one at Bürkliplatz a few years ago. Haggled down to Chf50.

The Bremgarten bei Bern antique fair is Saturday and Sunday, the 21st and 22nd of June. There will be any number of vendors there with cow bells.

Thank you all!!!!

If the OP is interested, I might be in that neck of the country soon to settle a matter, I could pick it up and bring it to Basel when I am next there. Which will probably be next week.
