B permit for EU nationals with or without the need of a Swiss job ?

Hi all,

This page https://www.sem.admin.ch/sem/en/home…b_eu_efta.html says a family of EU passport holders can have 5-year B permit if they have an income from another EU country that is enough to sustain their Swiss life.

Is the following income enough for permit B ?

  • 2500 CHF/month of provable & steady rental income
  • 500-1500 CHF/month of not-easy-to-prove rental income
  • 2400 CHF/month of payment from a non-EU bank, on a cash reserve of 180k CHF.
  • 2400 CHF/month of disability payment from this EU country
  • About 500k CHF in real estate in a non-EU country.

, totaling of steady 4900 CHF from Europa, 7500 euro/month world wide, and 8000-9000 if including also the not-easy-to-prove rental income.

If this income is not enough for B, then do we need to have one person secure a job of at least 12 months, in order to have a B-permit of 5 years, then the rest of the family could automatically have also B-permit ?

Thanks.

Only the cantonal authorities in whichever canton you want to live in can tell you if they consider that enough funds.

Also, your link is broken.

Is fixed, or was it broken ?
