All good so far, as time passes by I start to get a little worried since it was late January and still no news from them. So I email the migration office in Zurich using the form online and they answered saying they had sent a letter to my address asking for more information (basic stuff, like "when you graduated", "are you still studying.."). The problem is that for some reason (lost? maybe stolen? I live in a student complex so shit happens often with post) I never received that letter, but luckily they send me the same pdf via email.
So I answer their questions and send both via email and post the answers on the 1st of February.
Now, 2 weeks later and still no news or anything. I sent an email asking for an update but it got ignored. Should I get worried? My friend (also EU) who just did the same thing as me got his new permit in like 5 days.
Also, is it possible to just go to the migration office and ask? Because for some reason I remember you can only go by appointment but I can't see how to book one.. (maybe it was only during peak covid?)
The only thing I could have done "wrong" is answer in English in my response but I seriously doubt that it would be a problem, especially considering how easy/short my answers were.
