Baby care

Hi everyone

I am going to move to CH . My baby is 5 months. She mostly drink milk powder because I have just a little . Can you recommend me what kinds of milk powder I should use for my baby in CH.

Best regards.

The one your baby likes. Babies can get used to the taste of a specific formula, and then it can be a bit difficult to get them to change.

Otherwise, we've had good eperiences with Hipp producs. They have a variety of formulas, including the HA (hypo-allergic) range. They come in four varieties: "Pre" (newborn) and stages 1 to 3 (up to 6 months - after 6 months - after 10 months). The website is in German and French only. These products do not contain sweeteners or aromas, and to me, they taste horrible, but there is a mention on the pack that while adults will not like the taste, it's the right thing for babies. Looks as if folks like me have discontinued using baby formula based on taste... .

I can recommend Hipp, too, especially the new "combiotik" range - does wonders if your baby suffers from constipation. Hipp is also used by the University Hospital in Zurich.

We used Aptamil, from Milupa.

Here's their UK site in English.

We tried Milupa and the Nestle Brand and my daughter prefered the Milupa. What I like most about the Milupa is that the carton is resealable and less messy; with Nestle the powder is in a pouch and I found it kind of got everywhere, I also didn't like that the pouch wasn't resealable (but that is just me)

Everyone has their own preferences and depending on your pediatrician they may have their own recomendation. In the end your baby will let you know which one they like best.

Thank you. I will check the webside. I hope my baby like it.

Thank you, Franks

Thank you, I will try some to see what milk she like.

Thank you , I will check the webside.

I use the Nestle product, if your baby is not allergic then you can use optipro, it is always better to check in apotheke, they will suggest you.

I use Aptamil for simply reason that I have the same powder in my home country but with different name.

Do you have picture of your powder milk? Maybe there is the same in Switzerland?

Have you thought about donated breastmilk?

Hi,

We use Holle Bio Milchnahrung 1,400g

Thank you Abbie. I read the above webside.

I think I prefer my milk and milk powder.

Where should she find the donated breastmilk in Switzerland? All well and good that they do it in USA but they don't seem to have any resources for here.

Where can I find hipp combiotik 1? In any pharmacy? I'm living in Zurich and would like to buy some?
