I really miss the times when a hard core Texan like Willie Nelson would create something stunningly beautiful with a NY phenomenon like Nora Jones and they and we would absolutely enjoy it. The “cultural wars” are shit, hate where we’re now as a civilization.
You inspired me, as soon as I get back home it’s Norah Jones on vinyl this evening.
I’m not fond of her slightly soporific voice alone, but his edgy gnarly voice and hers balance out.
She’s unique in the sense that whether you like her signature or not, at least she’s instantly recognisable. She has a unique style and i appreciate anyone who’s able to carve out a unique path in music
She’s got a similar vocal timbre to Katie Melua’s. Beautiful voices.
