Your nearest photo shop will do it no problem. The ones I attempted myself were rejected but had no problem with the professional one- maybe it was the sheepskin instead of the blanket that won the day!
hi, i made the pic of my baby on my own, as i was at the photo studio and they just make the pic no matter how it looks, it is lovely when you can take it on your own and get a nice expression on your baby's face. I had like a hundred pics, and was difficult to choose one, at the end we decided, and it looks so cute! but it is up to you. Good luck
I agree with what Mabern said, if you dont want to do it yourself. Depending on the country that you want the passport for, there are different rules. Best to go to the website of your embassy and check the requirements, and take them with you - for the photographer. They usually have the requirements for the usual ensemble - France, Britain, Germany, but don't have everyone. They didn't have New Zealand.
There are lots of photo shops around! I've seen several around Zurich.
I went with a friend to one on Rennweg (can't remember what it's called, but it's just a little way down from the Starbucks) - she had baby passport pictures done there.
I got photos of my small son done at FotoHuus in Oerlikon which provided a very good service.
We had our baby's passport photos taken in a studio at a photo shop in the road behind Kreutzplatz. After the corner where Bohemia is, take the very next left and the shop is on the left, about 2-4 doors down. 6 photos for chf 26. We ended up sitting the baby up and putting our hand up the inside of her shirt to hold her head up and make sure she was facing the camera - so an outside shirt with a higher collar may come in handy.
An embassy nearby lied to us needing photos for a passport application because they wanted them done from this shop and told us to go there to get them done on the day we made the application. The shop's fantastic - packed to the rafters and a bit of a squeeze to get through to the studio
our embassy/consulate didn't require a picture since they used the digital format of the picture that they took when we went to apply for the passport. you should call you embassy to see if they will take the picture or if you need to take printed pictures
The issue is most countries will reject them as they may look like passport photos but don't qualify for passports, best to only use those booths for less important pictures
I'll let you try to place your baby in front of the camera of a photo booth, without any part of you showing and with baby looking straight with eyes open and mouth closed...
Even with my 5 yo it took me 4 attempts (and you only get two attempts with one set of coins!) before we had something vaguely suitable, and tat wasn't even for a passport.
Notes say you don't need eyes open for under 1 yr old and she hardly moves so I think it's possible. I just typed this left-hand with her over my shoulder....
Having said that just went to check the local booth out and it is out of order...
